Privacy Policy
InDays is a workplace presence tracker that helps hybrid workers log in-office days. This policy explains what the app stores, what stays on your device, and what is synced only when you choose to sign in.
Data We Collect
InDays stores the information needed to run the app and the information you choose to enter. We do not collect information for advertising, analytics, or tracking.
- Account details from sign-in providers, such as email address and provider name
- Profile details you save, such as display name and primary office choice
- In-office logs, including date, optional office location, and log source
- Office locations you create, including optional address details
- Saved history filters, date ranges, descriptions, and target settings
- Reminder settings, such as reminder time, active days, and enabled status
What Stays on Your Device
InDays works without an account. When you continue without signing in, your app data is stored locally in the app's on-device database and is not sent to our servers.
- Local profile settings
- Logs (dates and optional office location)
- Office locations you create
- History filters and target settings
- Reminder preferences (time, active days, enabled/disabled)
- Apple Watch companion data (today's status, office name, week count)
Optional Syncing
If you sign in, InDays syncs your profile, logs, office locations, and saved filters so you can back up your data and use it across devices. Syncing is entirely optional — the app works without an account.
Synced data is protected by user-level access controls so each signed-in user can access only their own records.
Signing In
InDays offers optional sign-in with Apple, Google, or GitHub so you can sync your data across devices. We never see or store your password.
Depending on the provider, sign-in may provide account identifiers such as your email address, provider user ID, display name, or profile metadata. These are used to create and maintain your InDays account.
No Ads, Analytics, or Tracking
The app does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or any form of user tracking. We do not sell personal data.
Device Permissions
InDays may request notification permission if you enable reminders. The app does not request device location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, health, or calendar access.
Office locations are locations you create manually. If you use an arrival or departure automation, that trigger is configured in Apple's Shortcuts app, not by InDays collecting your location in the background.
Reminders
InDays can send reminders to help you log your office day. These are scheduled entirely on your device — no data is sent anywhere. You can enable, disable, or adjust reminders at any time in the app.
Apple Watch
The optional companion Watch app syncs a snapshot of your logged status, primary office name, and week count between your iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple's device-to-device watch connectivity. This data stays on your devices unless you have enabled account sync.
Logging a day from the Watch sends the entry back to your phone, where it is stored and can be synced like any other log.
Siri and Shortcuts
InDays provides a shortcut action to log today's in-office day. Shortcut activity uses the same local logging and optional sync behavior as logging from the app.
Optional Account and Sync Services
InDays uses trusted service providers to operate optional account and sync features:
- Account, storage, sync, and account deletion services
- Apple, Google, and GitHub for optional sign-in
- Apple system services for notifications, Shortcuts, and Apple Watch connectivity
Children's Privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
How Your Data Is Protected
Your synced data is protected so each user can access only their own information. Data sent between the app and our service providers is encrypted in transit.
Data Deletion
You can delete individual log entries from History and delete saved office locations or filters from their app screens. To clear all local data on this device, use Wipe All Data in Profile.
To delete your signed-in account, synced app data, and local data on this device, open Profile → Account and use the Delete account action. InDays may retain a minimal deletion request record, such as email, provider, request status, timestamp, and user agent, where needed for security, support, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy is updated, the new version will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
